DESCRIPTION:FREE event for the Community\n\n \n\nCelebrate our Earth with a day outdoors in\n\nVista's OWN beautiful 14-acre Botanical Gardens on April 18!\n\n \n\nConnect with nature and go GREEN at this FREE fun event! We start at 10 am with activities for the kiddos\, live music\, and vendors for food\, plants\, gifts\, art and more!\n\nChildren will make origami ladybugs and Noodle Necklaces\, handle worms and compost\, plant sunflowers\, blow on bubble baskets\, sort trash\, paint "Earth Day Rocks!" and visit the fun-filled Children's Garden.\n\nEnjoy music by Vic Moraga on guitar\, Monte Vista's Ukulele Club\, and Mission Meadows Kids College Dance. This year we welcome a new addition - the Amplified Earth Teen Band Showcase from 1 to 3 pm.\n\nExperience our nine Ricardo Breceda sculptures\, starting with the slithering Sea Serpent in the Children's Garden. Our GrowGetters Plant Sale includes succulents\, flowers\, veggies\, herbs\, and gardening advice.\n\nCheck out our Garden Shop filled with crafts\, snacks\, plants\, and treats for all.\n\nTake a break and buy a tasty BBQ lunch and beverages from Amigos de Vista Lions.\n\nVendors will line the driveway and offer environmentally friendly information as well as tasty treats\, art\, and crafts.\n\nVendors application is on the website and due by April 1\; join us for a fun community day! Volunteers are welcome! Students please contact carolejay@att.net and adults please contact volunteeravbg@gmail.com .\n\nEvent for all ages is FREE   our treat for the community.\n\nAlta Vista Botanical Gardens is located at 1270 Vale Terrace Drive Vista\, at the top of the hill inside Brengle Terrace Park.
